Haunted by the illusion of perfection, an obsessive housewife collides with her husband’s past—unleashing a secret that twists love into captivity.
When Serena Reynolds suspects her husband is rekindling feelings for his ex, her insecurity festers into obsession. What begins as harmless imitation—new clothes, a different hairstyle—mutates into a chilling transformation as Serena methodically reshapes herself into the other woman’s image. Haunted by her mother’s legacy of manipulation and violence, Serena’s desperate pursuit of the perfect marriage unravels into madness, blurring the line between love and control.
When Matt Reynolds reconnects with his ex-girlfriend Cassandra after she moves back to town, his wife Serena becomes consumed by obsession. Matt, a suburban father struggling with his dying father’s illness and growing dissatisfaction in his picture-perfect marriage, finds himself caught between two women: his elegant but controlling wife, and the free-spirited woman he once loved. As Serena attends Cassandra’s yoga classes, stalks her movements, and mirrors every aspect of her appearance, Matt grows increasingly alarmed but remains paralyzed by family obligations and guilt.
Behind Serena’s polished facade lies a woman haunted by her traumatic childhood — and a vow never to lose what her mother lost. When Matt hires a private investigator, the truth unravels: Serena has been systematically sabotaging Cassandra’s life, and the investigator uncovers a darker truth buried years earlier.
